Broke a heel in the Casino, had to walk at a hobble back to my room and change them. Why? I wasn't about to walk in my stocking feet in some of those halls.

Five inch Bruno Magli stilettos? Not cheap and all because I took a wrong step off the floor.

Talk about a pain in the ass.

I think I finally have the hang of this new phone and all the little quirks that came with it. I'm sure Apple makes more money off the customer service for it's products than it does it's actual sales.

Still, it was a gift (and a GREAT gift, at that) and I am not going to complain... you know, any more than I already have. And though I admit to spending more time in the casino than I probably should, I'm not going to deny that this is the perfect job for someone who doesn't mind being on their own a good deal of their off time.

Work ---> Room ---> Work. Lather, Rinse, Repeat. Excluding the bars, I'm wondering what sorts of things people like to do on the ship? Besides sex. I hear enough of that as it is, thanks. These walls were NOT made for keeping noise out.

I lost my cellphone. I can't find it anywhere. I've lodged a noticed with both the employee and guest 'Lost and Found' and I haven't heard a thing. I'm kind of bummed and yet, I can't lie. I'm kind of excited about the idea of a new i-Whatever.

I've never been one for the latest technology, but maybe it's time I caught up.

Somehow the THOUGHT of going to Antarctica isn't quite the same as actually GOING. I mean, sure, the view? Fantastic. If you want to stand outside and freeze to death to look at it.

I don't.

And yet, it's just not the same. I guess it's one of those things you can say you've done, though, right?

Working in heels has never been a problem before. And yet, as I find myself standing guard over the casino for hours on end, they don't seem to hold the same appeal as before. Am I getting that old?

This might be the perfect place to hide, but there's enough drama to film a soap opera. The people are nice, but I wouldn't wish their problems on some of my worst enemies. On some of the others? Sure.

I suddenly feel much older than I thought I was. I honestly don't think I've dressed up since I was ten. That was (XX) years ago.

Oh, right. I AM old.

Not that my week's been particularly hard. Pit boss of a floating casino isn't that hard compared to say, The Venetian, but what can I say? I'm just not the people person I thought I was. They're all so happy.
